KUCHING, June 28: The Magistrate’s Court here today sentenced an unemployed man to jail for 7 months and fined him RM2,000, in default 2 months jail, for possession of a stolen motorcycle.
Accused Mohd Al Imran Muhammad Zamri, 22, pleaded guilty before Magistrate Chai Guan Hock. He was found with a stolen Honda motorcycle at an eatery near 7th Mile at about 12.30am last Friday (June 21).
He was charged under Section 411 of the Penal Code, which carries an imprisonment term of between six months and five years and a fine, if convicted.
Prosecuting officer Nelson Ensit prosecuted, while the accused was not represented. — DayakDaily
