“This is our commitment and determination. This isn’t ‘omong kosong’ (empty words) like the opposing candidates are making it out to be.

“We are not ‘tanam tebu di bibir’ (sugarcoating), but we will make sure that the promises and commitments in this manifesto are implemented as best as possible,” he said during the launch of GPS Manifesto for Jepak by-election held here today.

Awang Tengah, also Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) deputy president, further reminded Jepak voters not to waste the constituency’s future by supporting candidates from other parties still unclear on their struggle.

He stated that even though it is only a by-election, GPS is committed to ensuring a large win to give great meaning for it to fight for the rights of Sarawak and fulfil the dreams of Jepak constituents.

The Jepak by-election will see a three-corner fight between GPS candidate Iskandar Turkee, Chieng Lea Phing of Sarawak People Aspiration’s Party (Aspirasi), and Stevenson Joseph Sumbang of Parti Bumi Kenyalang (PBK).
