KUCHING, March 18: Sarawak Rural Water Supply Department (JBALB) has formed a Covid-19 Control Committee in an effort to curb spread of the novel coronavirus.

JBALB Sarawak, in a press statement today disclosed it had come up with a guideline for the public to observe in line with the state government’s directives announced by Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg last night (March 17).

JBALB Sarawak’s operation division will be operating as usual while administrative and other divisions (including its headquarters and divisional offices) will operate at minimal capacity.

The general public who have symptoms of illness including those related to Covid-19 are not allowed to enter JBALB premises.

“The department has the authority to stop any member of public with symptoms of Covid-19 (from entering) into its premises.

“The public who has no important and urgent matters are advised not to visit the headquarters and divisional offices,” the department urged via its statement.
