Japan discusses MNCs, expanding trade and investment in Malaysia

KUCHING, Aug 12: Japan will continue to play a crucial role in advancing the economy in Malaysia with its vast investments in various sectors.

Prime Minister’s Special Envoy to Japan, South Korea and Taiwan Datuk Seri Richard Riot Jaem made this remark when he received a courtesy call from the president of the Japanese Chamber of Trade and Industry in Malaysia Daiji Kojima at his office in Putrajaya today.

“The meeting was focused on issues such as trade and investment by Japanese multinationals companies in Malaysia and how to enlarge and expand their present investment in the country,” said Riot in a WhatsApp message to DayakDaily today.

Daiji is also the managing director of Mitsui Malaysia.

Previously, Riot had also received courtesy calls from trade representatives from Taiwan, Japan and South Korea in Kuala Lumpur.

Riot, who is also Serian MP was appointed to his present post in the middle of May, 2020.—DayakDaily
