KUCHING, June 5: A total of 58 positive Covid-19 cases detected in Sebauh has formed a workplace cluster dubbed the Jalan Kampung Yoh Cluster.
According to the State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC), the cluster involved a construction company at a construction site near Jalan Kampung Yoh junction, along Mile 38, Miri-Bintulu road, which spread through social contact among the workers.
“A total of 83 individuals have been screened, with 58 cases testing positive for the virus, including the index case, while 13 cases are negative, and 12 others cases still awaiting their laboratory test results,” it said in a press statement today.
The committee added that all of the positive cases detected in the cluster have been referred and admitted to Bintulu Hospital, including in the Bintulu district’s Quarantine and Low-Risk Treatment Centre (PKRC).
SDMC also announced three new community clusters that have been identified in Meradong, Sri Aman and Miri. — DayakDaily
