SERIAN, Nov 5: Pakatan Harapan (PH) candidate from Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) Diog Dios predicts that Undi18 voters in Puncak Borneo will swing towards PH in the 15th General Election (GE15).

He said this was based on the feedback from the federal level that 78 per cent of Undi18 voters are inclined towards PH.

In view of the situation, he claimed that candidates in Puncak Borneo, particularly Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) and PH, had close chances to win.

“In Puncak Borneo, Undi18 will likely swing to PH, so the contest here (Puncak Borneo) will be quite close,” Diog said after he filed his nomination forms at the nomination centre at Siburan District Office.

Diog, 55, a Bidayuh from Kampung Emperoh Giam, Jalan Borneo Heights is contesting for the first time, since joining politics in 2016.

A former teacher and lecturer at Teachers Training Institute Samarahan, he will be facing incumbent Datuk Willie Mongin, his former comrade in PKR, but now with GPS component party Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB), and Iana Akam from Parti Sarawak Bersatu (PSB).

“We are friends outside, drinking coffee together, but not in politics…I am contesting to bring changes to Puncak Borneo,” he said.

He hoped that voters in Puncak Borneo will turn out to vote in full force to support PH, which he asserted will form the federal government. — DayakDaily
