KUCHING, Jan 8: The Malaysian Inland Revenue Board (IRB) will be introducing e-PCB Plus, a new Monthly Tax Deduction (PCB) service system which will replace the existing e-PCB, e-Data PCB and eCP39 systems, under one platform through the MyTax portal.
In a statement today, IRB requests that all employers should complete all data submissions and payment submissions for monthly deductions for the current or past years on/or before Jan 15, 2025, following the implementation of this new service system.
“From Jan 15, 2025, the existing PCB system will only be opened for display purposes only to enable employers to review previous PCB information/records. Other functions such as filling, calculation, and payment will be closed completely,” it said.
The implementation of the new system is in line with the transition plan towards the e-PCB Plus Phase 1 system which started on Sept 24, last year.
The transition involves functions such as the registration of Employer/Employer Representative/PCB Administrator role in MyTax and Representative Administrator at e-PCB Plus for all employers involved with PCB.
The full implementation of the e-PCB Plus system will be announced before it is officially opened for the use of all employers and users.
Accordingly, IRB recommends that employers who are currently using the e-PCB system, e-Data PCB and e-CP39 and have not yet registered their role in the e-PCB Plus system to do so immediately to ensure a smooth transition to the new system. — DayakDaily
