Int’l Women’s Day: Tourism, works ministers honour women’s strength, contributions to M’sia’s devt

KUCHING, Mar 8: As the world continues to move forward, women have shone in every field with resilience, wisdom, and dedication, bringing a constant source of strength, inspiration, and hope for society.

In a Facebook post in conjunction with International Women’s Day today, Minister of Tourism, Arts, and Culture Dato Sri Tiong King Sing extended his appreciation for the roles that women play not just in families, but also in society and the nation’s development.

“In the tourism and cultural sectors, many women play an important role in preserving local culture and community heritage with passion and professionalism.

“Their efforts not only support community and economic development but also help showcase the beauty and warmth of Malaysia’s diverse culture to the world.

“Equality, respect, and opportunity are essential foundations of a progressive society. Let us continue working together to build a more inclusive and fair environment where every contribution is valued, and every effort is appreciated,” said Tiong, who is also Bintulu MP and Dudong assemblyman.

Meanwhile, Works Minister Dato Sri Alexander Nanta Linggi echoed similar sentiments, saying that women are a blessing that gives meaning to life, a pillar of strength for families, and a driving force of national progress.
