KUCHING, Jan 15: The Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (HASiL) has introduced new digital services, including a WhatsApp information channel and an enhanced tax information search platform, as part of its ongoing efforts to simplify tax-related matters for taxpayers.
In a statement today, HASiL said the new services, which take effect from Jan 15, 2026, reflect the agency’s commitment to improving service delivery through the use of digital technology.
Under the new initiative, HASiL will use WhatsApp as a one-way communication channel to deliver important tax-related information directly to taxpayers’ registered mobile numbers. This includes tax notifications, payment reminders, notices on outstanding arrears, as well as messages related to tax compliance.
“The official WhatsApp profile used by HASiL will appear under the name Lembaga Hasil Dalam Negeri Malaysia and will operate using the contact number 03-8911 1000,” the statement said.
In addition, HASiL has introduced a new information search platform known as Tanya HAFY, which replaces the previous Tanya@HKC platform. Accessible via HASiL’s official portal, the platform is designed as a self-service system to allow taxpayers to search for tax-related information in a more systematic, relevant and efficient manner.
HASiL advised all taxpayers to ensure their mobile phone numbers are kept up to date via the e-Kemaskini feature on the MyTax portal to ensure timely and effective delivery of important information.
According to the agency, the introduction of the WhatsApp service and the Tanya HAFY platform is expected to add value for taxpayers by improving access to essential tax information and enhancing overall user experience.
