KUCHING, March 27: The Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (HASiL) has announced that all its offices nationwide will be closed on March 31 and April 1, in conjunction with the Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebrations.

In a statement today, HASiL said all offices nationwide will reopen and operate as usual starting April 2, except in Melaka and Sabah, due to state-declared public holidays.

This follows Melaka Chief Minister Datuk Seri Ab Rauf Yusof’s announcement that the state’s traditional public holiday for the first day of Ramadan has been replaced with the third day of Hari Raya, effective this year.

Meanwhile, Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Hajiji Noor declared April 2, 2025, a public holiday in Sabah to mark the official anniversary celebration of the Yang di-Pertua Negeri Sabah.

As a result, HASiL offices in Melaka and Sabah will resume operations on April 3, 2025.

To ensure a smooth experience for taxpayers, HASiL has encouraged the public to carry out tax-related transactions online via the MyTax portal at https://mytax.hasil.gov.my/.

This is aimed at reducing any inconvenience during the festive period and enabling faster, more efficient services.

“HASiL remains committed to providing efficient and customer-friendly services to meet the needs of the public, especially during the festive season,” the statement read.

In extending festive greetings, HASiL wished all Muslim taxpayers Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri, expressing hopes that the celebration brings joy, blessings, and prosperity to all.

For any inquiries or assistance, taxpayers may reach out to HASiL through the Hasil Contact Centre (HCC) at 03-8911 1000 or 603-8911 1000 (for overseas callers), HASiL Live Chat, or the official feedback portal at https://maklumbalaspelanggan.hasil.gov.my/Public/. — DayakDaily
