Indonesian singer Andmesh Kamaleng to hold first solo concert in Sarawak on Nov 28

KUCHING, Nov 21: Indonesian singer Andmesh Kamaleng will stage his first solo concert in Sarawak titled “A Night With Andmesh Kamaleng” at Indoor Stadium, Petra Jaya on Nov 28.

Sarawak Minister of Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts, Dato Sri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah, said the concert is expected to attract more than 3,000 fans from across Sarawak, Sabah, Brunei and West Kalimantan.

“The presence of regional artists such as Andmesh strengthens Sarawak’s position as a destination for arts and entertainment.

“Such events also create significant opportunities for local creative industry players in line with government efforts to develop Sarawak as a hub for performances and major events,” he said during a press conference held at Baitul Makmur II here today.

Fans will be treated to Andmesh’s popular hits including Cinta Luar Biasa, Hanya Rindu, Nyaman, Jangan Rubah Takdirku and Anugerah Terindah.

The concert will run for 1 hour and 30 minutes with new musical arrangements, modern stage production and a more intimate performance experience.

Andmesh rose to fame after winning Rising Star Indonesia Season 2 and has become one of Indonesia’s most influential male vocalists.

He has received awards including the 2019 AMI Award for Best Male Solo Pop Singer and the 2020 AMI Award for Best Pop Album.

The concert will feature 10 performers including local talents Hasty and Zah Amirul during the pre-show segment.

Opening acts from 8pm to 9pm will include Hairie Francis and Ramles Walter from Sarawak as well as Gretchen Quirina and Ryenald Guntabid from Sabah. Ryenald is the winner of Best New Artist and Best Vocal Performance at AIM 2025.

A special surprise segment featuring three guest artists from Indonesia will only be revealed on concert night.

The concert schedule begins with doors opening at 6pm, followed by the pre-show at 7.15pm, opening acts at 8pm and Andmesh’s main performance at 9pm.

Ticket prices range from RM189 to RM339 and are available via www.saratic.com.

To date, more than 3,000 tickets have been sold, and the concert is expected to reach its full capacity of 4,000.

The event is supported by Ministry of Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts Sarawak (MTCP) together with various co-sponsors, partners and collaborators.

Also present during the press conference were MTCP permanent secretary Datu Sherrina Hussaini and WaZai Creative Solution managing director Mohammad Afiq Wahed (Afick Wazai). – DayakDaily
