Indonesian nabbed on suspicion of drug abuse

MIRI, Feb 28: A 30-something Indonesian was arrested at a snooker joint in Kampung Batu Kayu Kapur at about 9.30am yesterday on suspicion of drug abuse.

During the operation, codenamed ‘Ops Sarang’, the raiding party seized a sling bag and found 17 straw tubes containing ‘syabu’ weighing a total of 5.34g and with a street value of RM850.


The suspect is now under police custody to facilitate investigation under Section 39A(1) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952. — DayakDaily
