KUCHING, Dec 9: A 20-year-old Indonesian man was found drowned, while a search is ongoing for another after both were swept away by strong currents while bathing in a river in Bekenu today.
According to a report from the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), a call was received at 3.10pm, and firefighters from the Lopeng station were deployed.

Upon arrival, it was noted that one of the victims, Aidil, was found lifeless before Bomba’s arrival, and his body was handed over to the police for further action.
A search operation is underway to locate the second victim, 18-year-old Irfan.
Prior to the incident, the victims and several others were reportedly bathing in the river. — DayakDaily
