KUCHING, Nov 23: A 37-year-old Indonesian man was found dead by the roadside along the old Jalan Lumba Kuda Penrissen this morning, with police investigating the cause of death.
Padawan District Police Chief Supt Mohd Irwan Hafiz Mohd Radzi said an alert was received at 8.05am from a member of the public who spotted the man lying motionless by the roadside.
Following this, a team from the Padawan Criminal Investigation Division and Sarawak Police Forensics Unit was dispatched to the scene.
“Preliminary checks found injuries on the victim’s forehead. A medical officer confirmed his death at the scene,” he said in a statement today.
The cause of death is still under investigation, and the case is currently classified as sudden death (SDR) pending a post-mortem report.
