KUCHING, Feb 21: Indonesian legendary band Nidji is set to continue their Sarawak tour with an unforgettable night at Petra Jaya Indoor Stadium, Kuching, on April 26, following their electrifying performance in Miri on February 3 last year.
Brought to music lovers through a strategic collaboration between HMK Production, Coms Creative Studio, Space Two Sdn Bhd, and Room of Leaders Sdn Bhd, the highly anticipated “Nidji: Pelangi in Kuching 2025” concert promises an exhilarating showcase of the band’s timeless hits and latest releases, set to captivate more than 5,000 fans.
With 60 per cent of tickets already sold, excitement for the event is at an all-time high.

Sarawak Minister of Tourism, Creative Industry, and Performing Arts (MTCP) Dato Sri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah highlighted the ministry’s role in supporting the event by providing the stadium as a venue and offering financial assistance to ensure the concert’s success.
“This is part of our ministry’s effort to bring more musical festivities to Sarawak, including Borneo Jazz Festival, Kuching Jazz Festival, Borneo Sonic Concert, and the Rainforest World Music Festival (RWMF).
Events like these not only entertain our locals but also attract visitors from Brunei, Singapore, Indonesia, and Peninsular Malaysia,” he said at a press conference held at Plaza Merdeka shopping mall yesterday (Feb 20).

Fans can expect a high-energy performance featuring Nidji’s latest tracks such as “Buang Buang Waktu,” “Zayang-Zayang,” and “Lampu Hati,” alongside beloved classics like “Hapus Aku“. Nidji’s setlist will include approximately 13 to 15 songs, performed over 90 minutes.
Adding to the excitement, the concert will kick off with an explosive lineup of supporting acts, including Sarawak’s very own talents Bob Yunus and Zah Amirul.
Joining them are Drama Band and The Beretta’s, flown in all the way from Peninsular Malaysia to set the stage ablaze before Nidji takes the spotlight. Dramaband will deliver a 45-minute set featuring around eight songs, while Zah Amirul and The Beretta’s will each perform five songs.

Event manager Zairul Addry Helmy emphasised the uniqueness of the concert, promising a special traditional-themed introduction that has never been done before.
“We will also feature a surprise element in the concert, and if all goes well, we might bring in additional performers, possibly female artists,” he hinted.

The show is set to commence as early as 5pm, promising an evening of non-stop entertainment. The concert is backed by key strategic partners, including TVS, Sarawak Skills Kuching, Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS), Kelkatu TV, Hotel UCSI College, and RTM Sarawak.
Beyond the music, the concert will feature an accompanying side event, the Local Cultural Carnival (Karnival Pembudayaan Setempat), bringing vibrancy to the celebration with various sales booths and cultural performances.
This initiative aims to celebrate the unique arts, traditions, and heritage of Sarawak while providing a dynamic experience for concertgoers. Over 50 vendors have already registered, with expectations to reach 100.
Zairul also highlighted the opportunity for local talent to shine through Sarawak Got Talent, a three-day activity held alongside the concert, providing a platform for aspiring musicians to showcase their skills and potentially launch their careers.
Tickets for “Nidji: Pelangi in Kuching 2025” are available at several physical locations, including Nek Go Place, Sarawak Skills, and Plaza Merdeka (starting March 1, in front of Starbucks Café throughout Ramadan).
