Indian national goes missing after falling into Batang Rajang

SIBU, Oct 26: An Indian national feared drowned after falling from a tugboat into Batang Rajang today.

Based on the report of the State Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) Operation Center, the victim fell into the river at 9.20am while working on the deck of the tugboat.

The incident was witnessed by his coworkers, who later reported the incident to the authority.

A Search and Rescue (SAR) operation was conducted by Bomba Sibu.  It was however suspended due heavy rain in the late afternoon.

The SAR operation will resume tomorrow. — DayakDaily
