KUCHING, Mar 7: Sarawak can obtain independence legally as long as the Sarawak Independence act is put into action.

“We just need to put the Sarawak Independence act into action and let the people decide whether we want to be free or not,” Sarawak Association for People’s Aspiration (SAPA) President Dominique Ng said during his welcoming speech of SAPA Forum 2020 on Saturday morning.

“I was a politician for 28 years and I have now come back because I see too many things wrong in Sarawak,” he said.

According to Ng, the former Pakatan Harapan government which the people had elected had failed in many ways to deliver the new Malaysia to the people.

“We must have a referendum act and ordinance for Sarawak and it can be specific as it is the Sarawak Independence Referendum Ordinance,” he pointed out.

Meanwhile, there are a total of nine speakers speaking at the forum titled “Sarawak on the Edge of the Precipice”, sharing opinions and views about Sarawak. —DayakDaily
