KUCHING, March 9: Police arrested 11 men during a raid on two apartment units that operated as an online gambling centre at Batu Kawah, here today.
It was understood that the centre produced transactions amounting to about RM50,000 daily. Those detained, comprising Malaysian and Indonesian nationals, are aged between 19 and 38.
“The raid was held around 9am. It is believed that the gambling centre has been operating for about a year,” police sources said.
A total of 15 computers that were used for the gambling operation were confiscated.
All the suspects have been brought to the police station to facilitate investigations. — DayakDaily
