IKBN Miri selected as Astrazeneca PPV

KUCHING, May 31: The National Youth Skills Institute (IKBN) in Miri has been selected as a vaccination centre (PPV) to administer AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccinations starting June 7, 2021.

According to the Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas) in a news report today (May 31), minister-in-charge of Miri Division Disaster Management Committee (DDMC) Datuk Lee Kim Shin in a press statement yesterday confirmed that the decision was made following a preparation visit conducted earlier on May 29.

“IKBN Miri will become a PPV for AstraZeneca, and it will cater for those who have made their appointment through the MySejahtera application to get their vaccination according to the date and time set,” he said.


At the same time, Lee also visited Miri Civic Centre and Miri Stadium, which are used to issue Release Orders and as a bracelet disposal centre, respectively.

Lee, who is also the Transport Minister disclosed as of May 29, a total of 2,514 jabs have been given in the division, according to the Miri Divisional Health Office.

“They are namely in Eastwood Valley Hall (540), Dato Permaisuri Hall (498), Sepupok Niah Community Hall (378), Marudi Civic Centre (360), Long Lama Hall (282), as well as in Miri Hospital (390) and Marudi Hospital (66),” he added. — DayakDaily
