KUCHING, June 6: Muara Tuang assemblyman Datuk Idris Buang believed Lubok Antu MP Jugah Muyang’s move to support the Perikatan Nasional (PN) government showed that he has political maturity.
Idris opined that Jugah has made a wise move to support Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, who is a caring and people centric leader, in the federal government.
“I would like to congratulate Lubok Antu MP, YB Jugah for being intelligent.
“His move to support Muhyiddin shows that he wants to fulfil the peoples’ wishes to strengthen the federal government led by YAB Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.
“The collaboration and cooperation as well as the commitment and responsibilities between PN and Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) leaders will lift the people’s confidence for the government to tackle the Covid-19 pandemic,” he said in a statement today.
Idris, who is Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) information chief, added the federal government led by Muhyiddin worked hard to assist the people as well focusing to revive the country’s economy.
He, however, said the leadership of former Pakatan Harapan (PH) government was busy politicking during a time when the country was battling with the Covid-19 pandemic
He observed that the Covid-19 pandemic in Malaysia was first detected when PH was still in power.
As a result, Idris believed the former PH government did not handled the situation appropriately by having security measures to prevent Chinese tourists from coming into Malaysia.
He believed the lack of border and Immigration control during the PH’s ruling time has caused Covid-19 to be spread rapidly in Malaysia. –DayakDaily.
