KUCHING, Aug 20: Malaysia’s new Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob has the “cleanest record”, says Parti Pesaka Bumiputra Bersatu (PBB) information chief Datuk Idris Buang.
Commending the decision of Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, Idris said Ismail Sabri not only has the majority support of elected representatives, but is also qualified in terms of seniority as an ex-Deputy Prime Minister and Senior Minister.
“(He is) very well suited to lead the nation’s administration especially when the Covid-19 pandemic is still at its peak now.
“Confidence is also given to him by all including international investors to lead everyone out of the Covid-19 pandemic by continuing to implement strategies, measures previously arranged to control the situation and eventually win the war,” said Idris in a statement today.
The Muara Tuang assemblyman also said hoping that the new Prime Minister would consider appointing leaders from Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) as Deputy Prime Minister, Senior or Federal Ministers.
Meanwhile, he urged Ismail Sabri to do his best to restore the eroded rights of Sarawak in line with the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63). — DayakDaily
