KUCHING, Sept 26: Ibraco Berhad has marked a major milestone in its national expansion with the ongoing development of another project in West Malaysia—NewUrban @ PJ South, a modern, green-certified residential development in Klang Valley that reflects the Group’s commitment to sustainable living and attainable homeownership.
In a news release, the project, with a Gross Development Value (GDV) of RM529 million, features 922 serviced apartment units housed within two 36-storey blocks on a 6.02 acres parcel.
“Offering unit sizes from 550 sq ft to 1,000 sq ft, NewUrban caters to young families, professionals, and first-time buyers seeking practical, well-designed urban homes,” said Ibraco.
According to Group Managing Director of Ibraco Berhad, Datuk Chew Chiaw, Han, NewUrban stands as a milestone for Ibraco—a development that goes beyond building houses to creating connections among Malaysians who share the aspiration of owning a home.
“This Malaysia Day, we take pride in seeing the development progress steadily, reflecting our commitment to quality, affordability and sustainability,” he said.
Set beside the NPE Highway, NewUrban connects easily to Bandar Sunway, Subang, and Puchong, while surrounding amenities include 10 schools, seven malls, and five hospitals.
Green features at NewUrban include North-South unit orientation to keep homes cooler, natural ventilation, rainwater management, daylight use and energy-saving LEDs, while lifts come with advanced power-saving controls.
The project is guided by sustainability experts including an ISO 14001 architect, ESD consultant and GreenRE Manager.
At Level 9, landscaped gardens, tree-lined areas, and a rooftop herbs garden create green spaces for the community. Eco-conscious facilities include bike parking, EV charging stations, priority lots, and easy access to public transport.
Beyond the residences, Ibraco is also building a public neighbourhood park next to NewUrban, featuring a futsal court, picnic pavilion, jogging track, reflexology park and fitness stations.
“At Ibraco, we believe affordability should not come at the expense of sustainability. With NewUrban, we are setting a benchmark by integrating liveability, green design and community well-being into one development,” Chew added.
By aligning with Malaysia’s sustainability goals, NewUrban strengthens Ibraco’s ambition to expand responsibly across the nation while building stronger, greener communities. — DayakDaily
