KUCHING, Jan 26: Majlis Perbandaran Kota Samarahan (MPKS) chairman Dato Peter Minos has emphasised the significant role played by Ibraco Berhad’s Arden City in the transformation of Kota Samarahan.

He highlighted that the strategic development spanning 77.9 acres is timely, coinciding with the completion of the Kuching-Kota Samarahan road upgrade and the forthcoming Autonomous Rapid Transit in 2025.

Minos praised the development, stating that it is a “smart move” that could potentially boost the population to over 5,000 people.

“The township’s proximity to key healthcare and educational institutions, including the upcoming Unimas Teaching Hospital, Sarawak Infectious Disease Centre, and Sarawak Cancer Centre, reinforces its status as a healthcare and research focal point,” Minos said.

During the launch event held at the Ibraco Gallery, the Northbank, Ibraco Berhad Chief Marketing Officer George Ting unveiled the first development within Arden City – ‘The Atrium.’

Ting described ‘The Atrium’ as a 3-storey commercial development featuring 39 units of shop lots across six blocks, providing diverse business opportunities amid the growing medical and educational landscape.

MPKS deputy chairman Muttalib Julaihi and Acting Secretary Lilian Liew were among the attendees at the launch. — DayakDaily
