Huge five-metre-long python pulled out from drain at Jalan Astana

KUCHING, March 20: A five-metre long phyton was pulled out of a drain near Mara Building along Jalan Astana today.

Civil Defence Force (APM) Kuching swiftly responded to the emergency upon receiving alerts from the public.

Upon arrival at the location, APM personnel found the “ular sawa batik” or python reticulatus inside the drain.

Deploying pulling techniques, the team removed the non-venomous snake which measured as long as a van.
