Despite the outstanding achievement, HSL pointed out that it will not rest on its laurels and will continue to innovate and provide value-added products and services to its clients.

Commenting on the stellar achievement, HSL’s general manager Augustine Law said, “This is a prestigious honour for us all at HSL.

“It is a significant milestone for us having won three awards this time.

“This triple win means a lot to our team who have worked tirelessly to ensure the high standards that we have set for ourselves are achieved and continuously maintained.

“I strongly believe that it will also further encourage us in raising the bar in property development.

“As a developer, we are humbled that our efforts in inventing and creating spaces and structures are acknowledged and well received by industry experts as well as our clients,” he told DayakDaily in an exclusive interview.

He added, “It is really a team effort. From inception to the actual building and construction, to the final phase of maintenance, our team works together tirelessly to ensure that we stay true to our core values and strive to maintain the high standards that we have set for ourselves.

“As I have said earlier, we have always taken the effort to study the market before we build something because ultimately, to be effective in what we have to offer, we need to offer something that is relevant and of great value.”

When asked on company’s culture and values, Law outlined, “As a good property developer, we must be innovative in our work to create space that promotes communal living which is enjoyable, safe and has potential for economy as well as social growth.

“It is crucial that we add value to the homes and buildings that we build in terms of layout and functionality because these assets tend to be invested for use for long periods of time,” he said.

On the competitive advantage and strength of the company’s projects, Law opined, “I was told by the judges that they were very impressed with La Promenade Precinct Luxe’s landed strata lifestyle concept that includes generous communal amenities and green space for its residents, something which is rarely seen in the local residential estates.

“As for Vista Industrial Park (VIP), the master planning and design have also caught the interest of the judges especially in terms of its potential in becoming the largest private industrial zones in East Malaysia thus offering businesses a central hub that is both versatile and strategic for future growth.

“Both the above projects are very different and serve different objectives.

“That said, I believe that our company’s strength is that we always stay ahead of the market before we embark in our design and strive to deliver balance between the needs of the community and environment,” he said.

Law added, “While we are highly motivated and committed to pioneer new concepts that could provide products of better value for our clients.

“We hope that we can bring something different to the local property scene; something that are value for money, of good quality, practical and at the same time versatile for the long term use,” he said.

When asked on the company’s plan for this year, Law revealed, “As a construction company and a group with core businesses in infrastructure, we hope to be able to play a bigger role in developing Sarawak.

“There is increasing demand for affordable housing which we have worked on previously and aim to expand this year as it will cater to the needs of the mass market.

“We are excited to launch the Samariang Aman 3 which will feature affordable landed property in Kuching.

“We have approximately 300 acres of land to work with and we envisage developing a mini township there to complement the existing community landscape which we have built over the years.

“We also hope to continue with our niche market segment of luxurious homes where we cater to demands for designer homes in Kuching,” he disclosed.

Commenting on the company’s work in helping the community and the society, Law said, “We have taken great interest in building affordable homes that are value-for-money to cater to the mass market.

“We hope to include more features and facilities that promote communal living and environmental friendly.

“These are the aspects that are gaining popularity as more home buyers are looking at buying homes that are safe with good functionality and family oriented as well as value for money,” he believed. —DayakDaily
