KUCHING, Sept 14: Hock Seng Lee (HSL) will be launching a new show unit of Vista Industrial Park (VIP) over a Facebook Live on the Sept 16 public holiday at 10am.
HSL senior leasing manager Trish Lui and a top sales personnel Lyn Tieo will host the Facebook Live session on the move-in ready business park, bringing viewers on a tour of the new show unit, highlight key selling points and explain HSL’s Rent-To-Own (RTO) scheme, which is targeted at younger entrepreneurs and remains the only such commercial scheme in Sarawak.
To commemorate Malaysia Day, those who register interests for the RTO scheme will be eligible for a lucky draw.
“Our RTO has been a success. Since launching in March, we’ve confirmed over a dozen RTO tenants. Rent first, own later opens up a lot of opportunities as tenants have more money upfront to fit out their units, lock in buying price, and the RTO mechanism helps them save up down payment,” Lui said in a media release today.
The new show unit highlights all of VIP’s best features like XL-size openings, heavy vehicle friendly, high ceiling and staircases that are separated between the ground floor workspaces and second floor offices.
The FB livestream will include testimonials from two current VIP businesses.
“As a developer, we can only continue to market our products when existing customers are doing well. We want to highlight their businesses, do cross marketing and generate good word-of-mouth. Our clients’ longevity is our longevity,” Lui said.
After the virtual launch, those interested may make appointments to view the VIP.
The new show unit faces VIP’s 3.3 acre central garden, a unique feature of the light and medium-size industrial estate. Except the show unit, all units around the park have sold out.
VIP is 200 acres in total, making it the largest privately developed industrial estate in Sarawak. In January 2020, VIP won two Sheda Excellence Awards in the masterplan and commercial categories.
“We’re aiming for a ‘higher class’ business park. The masterplan is important, we can’t do things in an ad-hoc way, matters like zoning are key to ensure long-term success at a project this size,” HSL executive director Tony Yu said.
Noting that the market has responded positively, he added: “We’re pleased tenants include central kitchens of several popular food franchises, which have high hygiene requirements, and we even have the testing lab of a government linked company.”
VIP is also home to high-end car garages, electricians, home improvement showrooms and steel works retailers.
Yu emphasised that next phases are coming soon to add more units with updated pricing and thus, these last units of the early phases are of tremendous value.
The business park is located strategically in Kuching, about equal distance from the airport, seaports, city centre and Sejingkat industrial zone.
VIP shares a common highway, Jalan Setia Jaya-Usaha Jaya, to Sama Jaya High Tech Park, which is a free trade zone with exports of RM5 billion per annum. Among the multi-national companies there include X-FAB Silicon Foundries, Taiyo Yuden Co Ltd, Western Digital Corporation, Toko Inc, and LONGi Silicon Materials Corp.
HSL is reserving one-third of VIP for its own use, centralising all its ISO and Sirim-grade manufacturing facilities.
