SIBU, Sept 13: Some 15 Indonesian workers from a factory at Jalan Ting Lik Kwong were left homeless after a fire destroyed a block of housing quarters this morning.
Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), in a statement today, said the four-door non-permanent structure, (about 10×30 square metres) was 90 per cent destroyed.
Ten firefighters from Sungai Merah and Sibu Central fire stations were deployed to the scene upon receiving the emergency call at 9.36am.
There were no fatalities or serious injuries reported from the incident.
The cause of fire is being investigated.— DayakDaily
