KUCHING, Nov 13: Hong Kong veteran actor Simon Yam has arrived in Kuching on Wednesday (Nov 12) to attend the 7th Asean International Film Festival and Awards (AIFFA 2025), which is set to dazzle the city with three days of cinematic celebration this weekend.
Yam, known across Asia for his acclaimed performances in both action and drama films, was greeted by members of the media at the airport’s VIP Lounge shortly after touching down.
His arrival marks the start of a star-studded weekend as Kuching once again transforms into the region’s film capital, hosting filmmakers, directors, actors, and fans from across Southeast Asia.
Running over three days from Nov 12 to 15, 2025, AIFFA 2025 will bring together filmmakers, directors, actors, cinematographers, students and film enthusiasts from across Southeast Asia to share ideas, showcase talent and honour excellence in visual storytelling. —DayakDaily
