During a courtesy visit to the Premier at his office today, Ouyang also presented eyeglasses to 300 students under a welfare programme run by the Chinese Embassy.

He reviewed ongoing projects by Chinese companies and discussed future strategic partnerships with the State government, highlighting the role of recent high-level visits in boosting China–Malaysia and China–Sarawak relations.

“We see a bright future for China–Sarawak collaboration. China will continue to support Sarawak’s development and work with the state to expand cooperation across education, economy, and social initiatives,” Ouyang said, while emphasising Sarawak’s rapid development and strategic role in regional cooperation.

He further outlined President Xi Jinping’s tate visit to Malaysia in April and Premier Li Qiang’s trips to the ASEAN-GCC-China Summit in May and October, stating that the series of visits had strengthened China–Malaysia relations and opened more opportunities for cooperation, including with Sarawak.

The visit underscores China’s commitment to Sarawak and highlights opportunities for deeper engagement in investment, education, and regional development.
