Heavy rain, strong winds expected until 3pm today in Sibu, Mukah, Bintulu, Miri

KUCHING, July 11: Thunderstorm warnings have been issued to the following districts in Sarawak: Sibu (Selangau), Mukah (Mukah), Bintulu, and Miri (Subis, Beluru, and Miri).

According to the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) in a Facebook post today, in addition to thunderstorms, the districts are expected to experience heavy rain and strong winds until 3pm today.

“A warning is issued when there are signs of a thunderstorm with an intensity of rain exceeding 20 mm/hour that is close or expected to occur for more than an hour,” said the department. — DayakDaily
