Health DG: Nation records 935 Covid-19 infections with three fatalities today

KUCHING, Nov 26: Malaysia recorded 935 new Covid-19 cases today, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 60,752.

Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah in a statement said the country also discharged 2,555 patients, the highest number of recoveries in a day.

The number of active cases is now at 11,348.

Three deaths were reported in the last 24-hours, bringing the total number of fatalities to 348.

Of the 935 new cases, 931 were local transmission and the remaining four were import cases.

ā€œSabah reported the highest with 326 cases, followed by Selangor (161) and Negeri Sembilan 158, while the rest of the breakdowns are Labuan (13), Sarawak (4), Johor (60), Putrajaya (5), Kuala Lumpur (59), Perak (79), Penang (17), Kedah (24), Kelantan (28) and Terengganu (1).

ā€œCurrently, 110 cases are in intensive care unit including 45 that requires respiratory assistance,ā€ Dr Noor Hisham said.

On the death cases, Dr Noor Hisham said all three were reported in Sabah.
