Headmaster found lifeless in car near Sibu traffic intersection

SIBU, July 26: A man was found dead in the driver’s seat of a car near the traffic light intersection of Jalan Ling Khai Cheng and Jalan Deshon at about 4.30pm yesterday.

The deceased had been identified as the 49-year-old headmaster of a primary school.

Sibu District Police Chief, ACP Zulkipli Suhaili said, the police from Sungai Merah Station were informed by members of the public who found a man unconscious in a car at the scene of the incident at 4.50pm.


He said that a police team rushed to the scene and found the victim sitting and leaning in an unresponsive state in the car.

“An examination of the victim’s body found no evidence of foul play or elements of crime,” he said.

According to him, the Sibu Hospital ambulance personnel pronounced the victim dead at the scene before his body was taken to the Sibu Hospital mortuary for further action.

“The case is classified as sudden death (SDR) and the victim’s remains have been claimed by his family for burial,” he added. ā€” DayakDaily
