KUCHING, July 12: A temporary half-road closure will be implemented along Route 1/61A and Route 1/62A between the Bintulu Airport Junction and Sungai Sibiu No. 1 from July 13 to Aug 13 to facilitate road resurfacing works.
In a notice, the Sarawak Public Works Department (JKR) said the works will be carried out daily from 7pm to 5am at several locations, namely KM711, KM715, KM716, and KM718.
The department said the resurfacing works are aimed at improving road safety, driving comfort and traffic flow for motorists using the route.
“Road users are advised to drive with caution, observe all traffic signs, and comply with traffic management personnel and traffic control measures throughout the duration of the works.
“The cooperation and understanding of all road users are greatly appreciated to ensure the smooth implementation of the works and the safety of all parties,” said the notice.
