KUCHING, Dec 12: Christmas is less than two weeks away, and the Yuletide spirit of joy, peace and harmony is very very much in the air.
There are many ways to make the occasion more meaningful and merry with loved ones, and one important area to focus on is the home, decorating it well to ensure the spirit and joy of Christmas is well celebrated by all family members, friends and relatives.
DayakDaily spoke with festive season solution provider Green Living Gallery’s managing director Rachel Chai, on the latest trends in Christmas decorations.
“This year, we want to bring red and gold colours to your homes as this is the 2018 international colours for Christmas. This year we have a huge collection of decorative items, more than you possibly need, to usher in the festive occasion,” she said.
The main focus of Christmas decorations, however, remains the Christmas trees, reindeers, ribbons, baubles, ornaments, lightings and mistletoe, she added.
Every year, Green Living Gallery brings in new, fresh designs to pick from.
“People love new things and designs every year for their homes to create new ambience and atmosphere to celebrate the occasion.
“Everyone wants to be different, so they can be very selective with their home decorations. I am sure they want something new or very traditional,” she opined.
On Christmas gifts, she said her shop boasted “best sellers” and a wide collection of Christmas mugs and other stuff.
Chai added that her staff will also help their customers decide what is best for their homes, including the right mix for their Christmas trees.
“Our service is free-of-charge as long as they get the items from our gallery,” said Chai, adding that her gallery also housed thousands of soft toys that are very affordable and could be used for years.
“For those who just want simple decoration to mark the occasion, we also have Christmas wreaths for hanging on doors.
“There are also bits and bobs for parties, such as candle holders for dining tables, vases and many more. As I said, we are a one-stop solution centre,” she reiterated.
How about something to decorate the walls and ceiling to brighten up the occasion? The gallery has those, too. Hampers? It has those, too.
