KUCHING, Aug 18: All licensed entertainment outlets may resume business on Aug 20 but must comply with the standard operating procedures (SOP) for karaoke.
State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) chairman Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas disclosed that the Ministry for Local Government and Housing have tabled the SOP for licensed entertainment outlets that were keen to operate.
“They must comply with the karaoke SOP which has been issued.
“As for indoor busking activities, the SOP should refer to the live event SOP which has been issued by the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture.
“Both instructions come into effect starting Aug 20,” he told a press conference to give Covid-19 updates here today.
Meanwhile, all karaoke outlets including open and room concepts in Sarawak have been allowed to reopen for business since Aug 15. — DayakDaily
