KUCHING, April 14: Eleven graves in Batu Anchau cemetery in Paku, Spaoh were looted recently by grave robbers.
According to a news report from the Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas) today, the recent incident, which was believe to have happened on Saturday (April 9), was first noticed by a resident from a nearby longhouse while visiting the cemetery.
A police report has also been made at Spaoh police station the following day.
The Batu Anchau cemetery was owned and share by five longhouses, namely Beduru Paku longhouse, Matop Paku longhouse, Tanjong Lama Paku longhouse, Tanjong Baru Paku longhouse and Kerangan Pinggai Paku longhouse.
It is understood that such an incident is not the first time as Batu Anchau cemetery has also been invaded and looted by grave robbers previously. — DayakDaily
