GPS youth leaders lodge police report against slanderous Facebook post

KUCHING, Feb 18: Three Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) youth leaders today lodged a police report at Tanjung Lobang police station in Miri against a slanderous Facebook post concerning Parti Rakyat Sarawak (PRS) president Tan Sri Dr James Jemut Masing.

The three GPS Youth leaders who made the police report were PRS Central Youth Info Chief Ir. Andy Lawrence, SUPP Piasau Youth chief Cr Tan Lek Jin and PDP Central Youth Secretary Cr Rexsoll Gilum.

“We have lodged a police report against a Facebook user for making an offensive remark against Deputy Chief Minister Tan Sri Datuk Amar Dr James Jemut Masing at Tanjung Lobang, Miri police station this afternoon,” said Andy in a statement issued here today.


He said he came to know about the Facebook post at about 2pm today.

“The post tried to bring into disgrace Sarawak Deputy Chief Minister, Tan Sri Dr James Jemut Masing.

“This FB user has made a statement using rude and offensive words,” said Andy.

Andy added that the report they made today was the second one made by PRS Youth after PRS Pelagus and PRS Baleh Youth wings lodged similar reports against the same Facebook user at the Kapit police station two days ago.

The report was made against Facebook user, named Moses Tuba, who made his offensive remarks in the ‘Dayak and Current Politics’ posts. — DayakDaily
