LIMBANG, Oct 17: Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) needs the strong support of the people of Sarawak to win all 31 parliamentary seats in Sarawak in the upcoming 15th General Election (GE15), says Caretaker Deputy Minister of Rural Development II Datuk Hasbi Habibollah.

According to a report by TVS, Hasbi stated that since the formation of GPS, its leaders have been working at all times for the people of Sarawak.

GPS comprises four component parties, namely Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB), Sarawak United Peoples’ Party (SUPP), Parti Rakyat Sarawak (PRS) and Progressive Democratic Party (PDP).

“The services provided by GPS leaders are not seasonal or only during the election period.

“Various people-oriented initiatives and approaches are implemented in addition to setting development policies to propel Sarawak towards a developed region,” he said when attending the Badudun Festival and Buffalo Racing event organised by Limbang Malay Association in Kampung Meritam here yesterday.

Hasbi who is also the Limbang incumbent further said it is important for GPS to win all State parliamentary seats to have a louder voice for Sarawak in the Dewan Rakyat.

This, he said, was proven when GPS Members of Parliament in the last term successfully claimed the rights of Sarawak as per Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63). — DayakDaily
