KUCHING, Dec 9: God willing, Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) will win in the 12th Sarawak Election (PRN12) but it must not be complacent when facing its opponents, says chairman Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg.

He noted that there were many new political parties being established in the State and the coalition will face off 267 challengers for 82 seats for this coming election.

“However, we welcome them to contest because we practise democracy. We cannot stop the other parties from contesting.

“On our part, we will just continue to do our work and we will leave it to the people to evaluate GPS’s track record,” he said.
