Last 7 days to donate books, soft toys to Ulu Belaga

KUCHING, July 24: There’s only a week is left until the deadline for DayakDaily’s secondhand book and soft toy collection which will be donated to children in Ulu Belaga.

All books and soft toys collected will be transported to Belaga and handed over to Belaga assemblyman-cum-Deputy Minister for Utility and Telecommunications Datuk Liwan Lagang on Aug 5.


“Bless Rural Children with Your Books & Soft Toys” is a collaboration between DayakDaily, Business Events Sarawak (BESarawak), Pertubuhan Wartawan Bebas Kuching (Pewarta), and Ibraco Berhad.

To those who have books or soft toys still in good condition which have been occupying storage space or gathering dust, please consider donating them and bringing them to the DayakDaily office at 1st Floor, Sublot 3536, TT3 Plaza, off Jalan Canna here latest by July 31.

To ensure the highest quality and safety of donated soft toys or stuffed animals, please ensure they are not missing any parts or pieces, are free from stains or smells, and thoroughly cleaned before sending it to our office.

We also kindly ask for children’s books suitable for ages up to 18-years-old. Middle-grade novels, graphic novels, unused colouring books, and educational booklets are all welcomed.

Drop the items off at the designated drop-off corner which has been set up on the staircase landing during office hours from 8am to 5pm on weekdays, or contact Sharon at 016 8605808 for drop-offs.
