GE15: Bintulu incumbent Tiong King Sing defends seat, wins with overwhelming majority

KUCHING, Nov 20: Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) has successfully defended the parliamentary seat of Bintulu as incumbent Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing won an overwhelming majority over his opponents.

Tiong won 43,455 votes against Democratic Action Party (DAP) candidate Chiew Chan Yew who received 21,287 votes, winning a majority of 22,168 votes.


Meanwhile, Perikatan Nasional (PN) Duke Janteng received 5,650 votes, and has also lost his deposit.

Tiong has been a Bintulu Member of Parliament (MP) since 1999 and will be going for his sixth term this 15th General Election (GE15). — DayakDaily
