MIRI, May 24: A road safety campaign held in conjunction with the coming Gawai Dayak and Hari Raya Aidilfitri was launched by Acting Miri Resident Nyurak Keti today.
Themed `Keselamatan Jalan Raya Daripada Saya dan Anda’, the campaign focuses on motorists during this coming festive season.
Goodies, including helmets, were distributed to motorists during the launching ceremony.
“The campaign is to create awareness among motorists to be extra careful on the road, especially during this coming Gawai and Raya,” said Nyurak, when met by the press.
He hoped road users would abide by all traffic rules during their `Balik Kampung’ journey. — DayakDaily
