MIRI, Sept 6: An instance of uncontrolled garbage burning this morning resulted in the spread of flames to a nearby bush area near the Jalan Miri Bypass traffic light.
The Miri Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) reported that approximately one acre of the bush area was consumed by the fire.
Responding to a distress call received at 10.28 am, a team of eight firefighters from the Lopeng fire station, equipped with one fire engine, was dispatched to the scene to contain the blaze.
The operation concluded around 11.15 am. — DayakDaily
