“This is a temporary alternative solution to rock armour the structure along the beach (Lutong beach) shoreline,” Lee explained.

He added DID Miri is planning to build rock revetment similar to those along Kuala Batu 1 in Kuala Baram as a long term solution.

Lee was accompanied by JKR Miri divisional engineer Chong Chi Fam and Hidayati Ismail an engineer from DID Miri.

Recently, dozens of marine debris pieces brought by strong waves and spilled onto the road have stunned people residing nearby the area (Lutong beach).
