Furniture Industry Association donates fans, drinking water to PPVs, screening centres

KUCHING, Sept 28: Sarawak Furniture Industry Association (SFIA) in collaboration with the Malaysian Furniture Council (MFC) donated 50 standing fans and 100 cartons of drinking water to vaccination centres (PPVs) and screening centres throughout the State.

SFIA president Leo Chiang Kok Sze handed over the donations to Divisional Health Officer Dr Eunice Melissa Joseph in Kuching today.

The items that were donated to PPVs and screening centres in various locations in Sarawak. 

The donations came following reports from its members that several PPVs and screening centres across Sarawak were very hot and lacked sufficient air ventilation.

“Therefore, SFIA and MFC hopes to play a small part in social responsibility by donating the items to the frontliners on duty because it is equally important for them to have a more comfortable work environment apart from prioritising their safety and wellbeing amidst the battle against Covid-19,” he said during the presentation ceremony. — DayakDaily
