Fuel prices up across the board from Sept 26-Oct 2

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 25: The retail prices of fuel for RON97, RON95 and diesel were raised for the period of September 26 to October 2.

According to a press statement from the Finance Ministry, the fuel prices for RON97 and RON95 for the period of September 26 to October 2 will be adjusted upward by five sen a litre while the price for diesel will be increased by four sen a litre.

It said the weekly setting of the retail price for petroleum products for the period of September 26 to October 2 follows the automatic pricing mechanism (APM).


Hence, the ministry said the retail price for RON97, RON95 and diesel were increased to reflect the changes.

It revealed that the price for RON97 will be increased by five sen to RM1.98 per litre while the price for RON95 will be adjusted upward by five sen to RM1.68 a litre.

The Finance Ministry added diesel price for September 26 to October 2 will be revised higher by four sen to RM1.71 a litre.

It asserted that the federal government is closely monitoring the effect of the changes in crude oil price and taking appropriate measures to ensure that the welfare of the people are taken care of. —DayakDaily
