KUCHING, Feb 17: A medical assistant, Alex Nasu Billy, of Song today received a surprise personal heart-warming birthday message from none other than Minister of Housing and Local Government Datuk Seri Dr Sim Kui Hian.

He said he was surprised to have received such a birthday message from Dr Sim, who is also an advisor of the State Disaster Management Committee.

“I’m so touched by his message. As one of the fronliners serving in a red zone area, it can be very exhausting because we have to be on our toes during our shift.

“But the message from one of our leaders today makes the effort that we put in daily being appreciated,” Alex told DayakDaily today.

“And wearing the PPE (personal protective equipment) can be very unbearable especially during hot weather. Just yesterday I almost passed out after wearing the PPE for more than seven hours,” he shared.

Dr Sim’s message written in Bahasa Malaysia was:

“Salam Sejahtera, Dr Sim N14 Batu Kawah.”

In return, Alex thanked Dr Sim and hoped that Sarawak will be free from Covid-19 soon.

He also hoped that Dr Sim, who is also Batu Kawah assemblyman will win in the coming State election. — DayakDaily
