Four pork shops splashed with red paint in Sibu

SIBU, Nov 7: Police here are investigating incidents involving red paint being splashed on four shops selling pork.

Sibu District police chief ACP Zulkipli Suhaili said that the investigation is being carried out under Section 427 of the Penal Code.

The section provides for an imprisonment of not less than one year and not more than five years, or with a fine, or both.

“At about 8.47am yesterday, the police received four complaints that shops selling pork in the town have been splashed with red paint,” he said today.

Zulkipli added that the incident happened at around 2.04am.

“After checking CCTV footage. through the complaint’s cell phone, it was found that the act of splashing paint was done by a suspect,” he said.
