Forum, workshop featuring key issues confronting sports industry to be held this July 1-2

KUCHING, June 12: The Sarawak International Sports Forum and Workshop (SISFWO) 2023, which will be held on July 1 and 2 at the Imperial Hotel Kuching, will feature renowned international and local speakers from various disciplines who will share their insights and perspectives on key issues confronting the sports industry, as well as distinguished international and local badminton greats who will share their skills and knowledge about the game.

According to a SISFWO press release, the event will include forums and workshops open to schoolchildren, parents, players, coaches, and teachers.

“SISFWO is a platform that brings together experts, professionals, and enthusiasts from across the globe to discuss and exchange ideas on various aspects of sports.

“It is a unique opportunity for participants to learn and develop new skills, share knowledge and experiences, and network with peers,” it said.

In the press release, SISFWO stated that the forum would cover a wide range of topics, including but not limited to sports management, sports psychology, sports science, strength and conditioning, nutrition, and coaching.

“One of the primary objectives of the workshop is to provide a platform where participants can learn about the latest trends and innovations in the sports industry.

“This is achieved through a series of interactive sessions, workshops, and keynote speeches designed to keep the participants engaged and informed,” it explained.

SISFWO also stated that the event serves as a hub where industry leaders can gather to discuss and collaborate on ideas that will shape the future of sports.

“It offers a unique opportunity for participants to gain new insights, forge new relationships, and contribute to the development of the sports industry,” it added.

SISFWO 2023 is organised by the Kuching Badminton Association and supported by the Ministry of Youth, Sports, and Entrepreneur Development (MYSED) Sarawak, Jabatan Belia Sukan Sarawak, SSC, as well as Business Events Sarawak under the auspices of Sarawak Convention Bureau.
