KUCHING, March 9: Former prime minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin is expected to be charged in court for corruption-related offences tomorrow (March 10).
This was confirmed by Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) chief commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki today, Bernama reported.
Azam Baki also said that a press statement on the matter would be issued by MACC later today.
Muhyiddin, who is also Bersatu president and Pagoh MP, arrived at the MACC offices this morning for questioning.
MACC is currently investigating allegations that contractors had allegedly deposited RM300 million to the Bersatu party account in return for projects.
Yesterday (March 8), Muhyiddin denied news report that he was arrested by MACC while playing golf in Selangor. — DayakDaily
